Wonderful service and care! Took my 8 yo daughter there first time and was very pleased with everything. The experience was exceptional, excellent, and different from other dental places. The big difference was that the dentist did Not rush through the appointment. He got to know our case, chatted, carefully examined and cleaned the teeth while letting mom look and listen to all his explanations. He answered all my questions thoroughly as well. I’m happy and my daughter was also very happy with the service.

Dr. Han is the best pediatric dentist in the Bay Area. Kind, gentle, patient and extremely knowledgable. I normally don’t take the time to do these reviews. This was my very first visit with my daughter and I seriously was blown away. The office, the staff, and of course Dr. Han are absolutely amazing. Even if I was to move out of the city, I would commute to have my daughter continue to go to this office.

We took our 16 month old here for his first dental appointment and it was a great experience! Friendly staff working the front desk and Dr Han is great! He was able to clean our son’s teeth and give us new parents explanations for all aspects of toddler dental care, all during a temper tantrum. He knows how to handle toddlers!

Dr. Han was great! He really took the time to get to know both me and my son during our first visit to his office, making us both feel comfortable, answering my many questions, and offering lots of very helpful advice. Thank you, Dr Han!

By far the best experience we have ever had at a pediatric dentist!! Dr Han was incredible with our twin 18 month olds. He has a very calming presence, took his time and was so thorough. We went to Dr. Han for a second opinion on a tooth extraction for an impacted/dead tooth that our 2.5 year old son has. He was amazing! He spent about 30 minutes explaining all of our options and hearing our concerns. He made me feel much more comfortable about what we needed to do moving forward. And it was the first time my son didn't cry hysterically the entire time he was at the dentist, which was huge. Can't recommend him enough.

My son did two molars extraction with Dr. Han. This is our second visit and the first time it was my husband brought in my 11 years old & 6 years old. The first appointment was ok, my son just needed a cleaning. However, for my 6 years old daughter, I was suggested by Dr. Han for a general anesthesia for treating her cavities. Dr. Han did not give me a lot of options when I was suggesting a couple appointments treating cavities maybe one side at a time and, but I told making appointments with them is challenging. I respect his professionalism, but I still seek for 2nd opinion, I was able to look for another dentist who were welling to treat my daughter in a couple appointments for her cavities to avoid general anesthesia and also the quote from Dr. Han was around $4000, mind you I have two dental insurances. Finally, my daughter was treated, and everything is ok. I just moved on and didn't really think much about it. Fast forward for this last appointment, Dr. Han is a very serious dentist, without a friendly smile. He is very straight forward, and not too opened for discussion. I witnessed the whole procedure of my son two molar's extraction in the room., I was pretty disappointed the way he spoke to my son and it was always with authority and attitude. Unlike the other dentist we have worked with. Our appointment was at 4:15pm, and with two molars extraction, I was really concerned if my son would be able to have dinner. (sorry for being such a mum). I have brought it up to Dr. Han and he said it couple times saying he would be fine. I asked if we should do one side at a time and AGAIN, he said we should do it at all once since we were here already. Anyhow, my son was in pain right we got home, I gave him tylenol and he felt better but when dinner came, he could not eat at all. He just could not even he said he was hungry. I am sorry but I am the type of mum who really wants the kids to have at least 3 full meals a day and I know missing one wouldn't hurt but my point is, if I have had brought it up with Dr. Han, he should have a better knowledge and at least tell me maybe he wouldn't be able to eat solid food or maybe having hard time. I honestly feel like Dr. Han care less and he was not opened to my concern. I am sorry we will not be going back. Not to mention I have to take care of all the charges up front and they will do the claim for me after. God knows how long this will take and how much I will get back. They don't have the answer. But this one star isn't anything to do with charges, it's the professionalism I expected, and it certainly did not meet my standard.

A 5-Star rating is insufficient for Han Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Han and team take pediatric dental care to the next level with their deep caring for their patients and custom approach for the wee ones in the 4 years we've been coming here. They are welcoming, educating, professional, and efficient. Our kids will definitely be growing up with Dr. Han has their dentist for the foreseeable future.

Dr Han & his staff are great with kids & the place is set up perfectly for them. At the end my kids ask if they can go to the dentist again! Haha.

We have been bringing our son to Dr. Han for four years, since our son was about 18mos old. Our experience with Dr. Han has been great. He’s very good with our son. He explains what he’s going to do before he begins, and then he tells our son what he’s doing at each step. He’s well versed in what allergens might be in dental products, and he reconfirms my son’s allergies at each visit. We once had to see Dr. Han for a dental emergency after hours when our son’s two front teeth luxated inward from falling at the playground. Dr. Han kept amazingly calm while my son and I were a bit freaked out, and he fixed our son’s teeth up very nicely. The staff are courteous and professional. The waiting area is kid friendly with some fun toys to look at. We’d highly recommend Dr. Han to anyone looking for a pediatric dentist.

My daughter needed a filling. To try to avoid a meltdown, I set expectations and let her know that it would hurt to fix her tooth. Dr. Han was so friendly and gentle. "Daddy, it didn't hurt." Great, Dr. Han made me a liar.

I have brought my daughter in for 3 visits. 2 visits are for a routine check up visit. 1 for when she fell and impacted her teeth. Dr. Han and staff is very knowledgeable regarding our insurance plan and has provided all relevant information regarding my daughter's teeth care. My daughter was very uncomfortable during one of the visits and Dr. Han and staff were very patient and assisted with calming my daughter down. Dr. Han has shown a lot of experience with working with children that needs to be comforted before the child is able to relax and be examined. Dr. Han has come highly recommended by my own dentist and by a family friend who also brings their own children to see Dr. Han. I am very happy with the care that is being provided to my daughter and am happy to continue seeing Dr. Han for my daughter's care.

1. It took a year more to get a new patient appointment. (long waitlist doesn’t mean it’s good!) 2. It was all good when we were at the waiting area. We were asked to pay full onsite “before” seeing the doctor and it was a bit weird.(now I know why they asked because no one will pay after what’s next!) 3. Dr. Han did his parents education part on how to clean children teeth, but he lost his voice and honestly I could barely heard what he says. 4. The female assistant was not nice in the room. TV was there but didn’t play cartoons at all. I tried to use my mobile to distract my child but was banned by the dentist. 5. Dr. Han was surely in a bad mood. He used the tooth brush to brush my 2 year old teething baby like scrubbing a burnt pot! Made her mouth full of blood!!! It was our first dental appointment, me and my husband were shocked to see how he treated our baby. My baby was in great pain, scared, crying and screaming and ended up having Burst capillaries on both eyes area because of the terrible pains(both how Dr. Han grabbed her head and brushed her) . She couldn’t stop the scared, screaming and terrified feeling even when I (the FTM) hold her in arms again! This is surely NOT how a Pediatric dentist should treat a baby on her first appointment!! 6. Doctor had to toss the tooth brush because FULL OF BLOOD! 7. My baby is scared to brushing (still!) and was scared to see tooth brush for months! 8. Dentist only used toothpaste to brush (scrubbed) her teeth with putting something like ointment/ gel on her teeth at the end. No polishing did. We can tell this is a very straight dentist with high expectations to his patients. He didn’t like our baby drink milk at night or using pacifier. But our daughter is a very insecure and high demand child, it takes time to get her off these for sure. He should respect us with patience and love as all babies are different. On top of that, this doesn’t mean the dentist can put his anger on a baby when he was not feeling well or had a bad day. If he lost his voice, he should have a translator or take a day off. As an experienced pedi dentist, he should know kids will scream and cry when they are scared. It’s not our fault couldn’t hear his broken voice under his N95. Not risking us getting ill or hurting my child like that. It took me months on preparing her to get her first dental appointment by role playing at home. Everything was nice and she was excited to attend before this. What this dentist did ruined all my efforts. Even worse, he hurt our baby badly with shadow!!! 8. Clinic said they don’t carry our insurance plan(Delta) but can help us to get reimbursement. We have asked the insurance company and was told we should NEVER pay in advance especially when our insurance is valid. (And the clinic did check our eligibility in advance! We are no scammers nor bad credit.) The clinic can only bill us on credit and wait for the insurance company to pay them directly. They also asked for our social security number which we were not comfortable to give. We are good people with good credit and coverage, but they treated us like scammers even with all information provided. I know this may affect my child’s availability in this clinic again. My husband wants me to keep quiet but I do believe it is important to speck up what happened to my daughter, especially months passed but she is still suffering from the trauma. Every time she enter clinics now she is scared, especially when she needs to lying down even just for measuring her height. THIS BREAKS MY HEART, EVERY TIME!! I regret sending her to this dentist and full of guilt to her. I do worry her little soul’s future development after such a violence. This dentist has no heart to kids to me. He didn’t play nor introduced a dental visit to my child nicely. We do NOT recommend him for sure.

Always the best service from the entire staff. Dr.Han makes it super comfortable for my kid and explains in great details what is going to be happening.

We had our daughter's first dentist appointment and cleaning this week at nearly 3 years old. We had been told to get her started early and we kept putting it off. I am so grateful we found Dr. Han and his team. They explained everything, they were super patient, and took their time talking with us. Dr. Han spoke to our daughter as he went through the exam, explaining what he was going to do next, what he was seeing, etc. Dr. Han encourages an open line of communication and honesty. We truly felt like we entered into a partnership with him and his team to ensure our daughter has healthy teeth for life (without shame or guilt that we aren't doing everything perfect). We'll be back in 6 months for our next cleaning and I look forward to creating a healthy view of the dentist for our daughter and keeping her teeth healthy along the way.

We’ve had 2 visits now with Dr. Han (at 1.5y and 2y) and both during Covid time. Dr. Han and everyone we’ve met working who works with him have been so friendly and accommodating. The office follows clearly outlined safety protocols, which is very important to us. It is truly a pediatric dental specialty practice - every step of the process, from the waiting area to the exam rooms and the exam/cleaning itself - was tailored to help little ones feel comfortable, safe, and cared for during the appointment. And Dr. Han seems genuinely invested in educating the kid and their grownup about healthy practices and oral hygiene.

Dr. Han is a wonderful pediatric Dentist. I have brought my son to see him twice now, the first time when he was 2.5 years old, and again now at 3.5. He is gentle and very sweet with my son, made him comfortable to be at the appointment- my son was scared leading up to the visit. He sang to him as he examined his teeth and connected with my son naturally. I thought his exam seemed really thorough as well as his education with us- we talked about diet, best option for sweets when we choose them, brushing etc. I felt he was a nice combination of conservative but not overly cautions leading to unnecessary procedures- a really important balance as a dentist I feel! The office is very clean and very well run. In terms of covid precautions it was very tightly run ship- we filled out a questionnaire at home for symptoms and again at the front door. Both our temps were taken and hand sanitizer was given to us. There were no other patients in the office and few staff. Everyone was wearing a mask and face shields and I noticed Dr. Han was very careful to sanitize his hands whenever he came into contact with my son if he touched other equipment. Overall I highly recommend him!

We had a great visit with Dr. Han, as always. We have a very sensitive 4y who does not exactly look forward to dentist visits, doctor's visits, etc and Dr. Han is amazing patient and gentle with her. We were the only ones in the office and the COVID protocols in place made us feel very safe. If he saw adults, we would both go see him, too, as Dr. Han is truly excellent in every way. Dr Han is very calming which helped my nervous kiddo. And, he took the time to make a note that my son loves The Beatles and had them playing in our exam room! I really appreciated that attention to detail and care for his patient.

We had to cancel our last cleaning in March 2020. I couldn’t be more please with how the visit went today. All the forms were sent beforehand via text, the staff were very friendly, sanitized our hands prior to entry, temperature checks. But most of all my daughters 6 and 8 enjoyed going to the dentist and getting their teeth cleaned! They said they had a great experience. Staff was doing a deep clean after we left. Dr Han was extremely kind and informative as always. We’ll be back in 6 months! 6 months later: My husband took the girls in today. My older daughter is on track with a major overbite issue that was discussed almost three years ago. Had we not acted then and gone to one of the recommended orthos by Dr Han, my daughter would have had serious issues today. We are so grateful for the excellent care we get at Han Pediatric Dentistry!

Great experience taking my 18-month old to Dr. Han for his first dentist visit. In the intake questionnaire I mentioned that my son likes singing and Dr. Han actually sang during the oral exam! That really made me happy to see him go above and beyond to make my kid comfortable. He also did a great job explaining both the importance and the risks of using fluoride - I learned a lot!

Dr. Han is the best kids dentist! I've been to several and they all pale in comparison. You can tell he loves his work, and he is such a pleasure to interact with. My daughter looks forward to seeing him (amazing for a dentist I know, but it's true :-)

I selfishly want to keep this a hidden secret, for fear of not able to get an appointment easily. :) Dr Han is simply the best pediatric dentist out there, he is knowledgeable, patient, and always equipped us with new knowledge in providing more support to our kids with their dental hygiene. We love pediatric dentists in general for our kids but Dr Han is very personable, professional and takes the time to have a one on one conversation about each child’s teeth + care. I have 3 kids and have taken them a number of dentist from Daly City to several around SF. I recommend him to all my friends with kids and why wouldn’t I? Make an appt and you can see for yourself.

This place is amazing! Dr Han is so good with my 4 year old son. I remember hating the dentist when I was little but my son loves it and can't wait to see the "Teeth Guy". Their Covid precautions are excellent and each room has an air purifier. I would highly recommend Dr Han to anyone looking for pediatric dentistry.

Dr. Han has been great these last three years with my 4 year old. His team and him were extremely patient when my child was afraid and crying and I had to hold her down when she was 1-3 years old. But now that she’s almost 4 and understands more as to what is happening, the last two visits have been peaceful and my kid walks out excited with her new toothbrush and stickers! Everything is explained and recommendations on how to care for teeth are great. Looking forward to taking my second little one in the future. Going pre covid pandemic and now, the team is just as cautious as they were before with extra added health measures now. I appreciate their attention to detail and safety.

It was the first time I set up an appointment for my twin daughters with Dr Han for a Saturday. The office had to cancel because Dr. Han was sick that day. However they were VERY good with communication and accommodating us with another Saturday visit 2 weeks later. Upon entering the office everyone was so nice and my girls loved the waiting area. During our appointment Dr. Han was very though and kind. I really did appreciate him taking his time to get to know the girls. Overall I am beyond pleased at Dr. Han and his staff.

Dr Han was referred by our family dentist for my 7 year old. My little one does not like dental care visits but he was not too worry for seeing Dr Han. He was very patient with my kid. Office staff are very friendly. Office is new and clean. Very convenient location the sunsets.

I have 7 years old and 5 years old twins. We have done some cavity treatments, filling, sealants and overall dental care. If you want the very best for your child, this is the dentist for you. Dr. Han is incredible. He's so good that even during a painful dental episode, he and his staff put my 2 year old son at ease. He is not a dentist. He's a caring, thorough and thoughtful Dental Magician. Handini! We were referred to Dr. Han after our son had a dental emergency. His was an unusual case and rather than treat the problem, Handini dug deeper and sought to understand the cause. He ran some tests, requested the results stat, then moved forward with treatment. His diligence is fantastic. Dr. Han also followed up via email to ensure our son was doing better. We used to go to a well known Pediatric dental practice in the Inner Sunset, they don't come close to the attention to detail and care that Dr. Han provides. I wish he treated adult patients, our entire family would switch. Our son is now five years old, our daughter is three. Dr. Han has been treating both for the past three years. The kids adore him. He's made them enjoy going to the dentist. Who needs the Elmo brushy brush song when you've got Dr. Han in your corner?! He's warm, comforting and caring. I brought my 21 month old daughter to Dr Han twice now and each time, Dr Han has been very warm, friendly, and patient with my daughter. His front staff is very kind and the facility is very clean with tables, chairs and toys in the waiting area for the kids. Dr Han is genuine and cares about his patients. He is extremely knowledgeable and does a really great job explaining how to care for my daughter’s teeth and what to look out for. Highly recommend.

We had a very disappointing experience with Dr. Han, I have to say. He is fine with my 12-year old, but he is very short tempered with my 5-year old. He screamed and yelled at my son when he couldn't stay still for his major teeth work (crown and fillings) which is not helping with an already terrified 5-year old. My son almost had a panic attack at his last visit. Dr. Han might be a good dentist in general, but I wouldn't recommend him as a good pediatric dentist, especially for younger children.

My 5 year old was afraid of the dentist, bad experience. I brought him to Han's when he was 3 and from that day on he looks forward to going to the dentist. He isn't afraid any more, thank you! You're awesome Dr. Han!

Dr.Han is a great dentist and person!! He is very respectful. And mostly importantly he is very patient in answering all my questions for my child and explaining the treament options without making me feel uncomfortable. Thank you.

Dr Han is great with my two boys, very kind to his staff and provides thorough dental care. We have been with him for 1 year so far and had two visits. He uses new X-ray equipment so the images are high quality instead of grainy, he is very thorough and does a complete oral exam including tongue and lymph nodes check, he is on time, answers any questions I have very thoroughly. I also appreciate how kind and respectful he is with his staff, which is one of the reasons we left our prior dentist. Only con is the location— it’s far for us but it’s only twice a year.

Dr. Han is hands down, absolutely top notch, THE BEST!!! He is super professional, smart, great with kids, great with parents, friendly, kind, generous with his time and the list goes on!! His office space is impeccably clean and super high tech, kid friendly and has ALL of the bells and whistles!! We are blessed to have found this hidden gem of a practice!! We had our first dentist appointment for our 3 year old daughter today. Dr. Han put her and us at ease immediately. I was pretty anxious prior to the visit and Dr. Han's calming bedside manner made the visit a pleasure. I highly recommend Dr. Han to anyone looking for a pediatric dentist!

Dr Han is awesome! So kind and patient and calming. I was shocked that my 2 year old let him poke around her mouth for as long as he did. He was also great about giving us tips and nutritional advice to avoid cavities I hadn’t thought about. He is absolutely worth the 30-min drove across town and I highly recommend him. May 2021 update - My child is now 5.5 years old and we still love seeing Dr Han. I wish he accepted adults! I appreciate the sound dental advice he’s given us over the years and his friendly way with kids. His office is clean, organized and has ceiling mounted TVs to keep the kids occupied during their cleanings. I recommend Dr Han to all of my friends. June 2022 update - Still the best pediatric dentist in SF! Dr. Han and his staff are warm, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to engage with. I have been to several pediatric dentists in the city and Dr. Han is hands down the best. I took my four year old son to Dr. Han for several dental procedures and could not have been happier with the results. My son left each time happy and pain-free asking when he could come back next! . Dr Han is an incredible dentist but what makes him exceptional is his approach and bedside manner both with kids and adults. He is patient, kind, and calm. He carefully explains everything to his patients and their parents in a way that is appropriate and easy to understand. His work is impeccable (coming from a long line of dentists I am incredibly picky) and he does everything in his power to make sure his patients are comfortable (TVs with a Netflix account, coins to get toys from a vending machine, stickers, rooms decorated with kids posters, and I could go on). Simply put - Dr. Han is amazing!

Super clean and friendly office with fun toys and tv playing for kids. Both my husband and I were a little nervous about taking our 3.5 year old for her first check up, but the experience could not have been more pleasant for us and our daughter. Dr. Han is very knowledgeable and professional. He put our daughter at ease right away. We got very good tips on brushing and flossing. He took time to explain our questions. Dental assistant was gentle and our daughter didn’t mind getting cleaning and fluoride treatment at all. She loved the fun gifts she got, hour glass, cute toothbrush, toothpaste, stickers, and gold coin to get a small toy. We live in Mission Bay and took our daughter all the way to Sunset since Dr. Han came highly recommend from local moms group. We are so happy to have found a great dentist for our daughter.

Dr. Han is an exceptional pediatric dentist. I am a dental student and met him when he was teaching at UCSF- he is part-time faculty there- and was so impressed with his professionalism and commitment to excellent dental care that I begged him to let me observe his work in his own office. In shadowing his office, I was impressed with his friendly staff and spacious, comfortable office. His patients genuinely love to visit him and the little ones blow him kisses. ? What most impressed me was his commitment to educating both his patients and parents on how to prevent cavities in the first place. I am a dental student and I learned things I had never learned in dental school from him! I am so thankful I have a doctor I can confidently refer my younger patients to. They will be in great hands.

Took my 15 month old son to see Dr. Han for his first dentist checkup, and could not have been happier. The offices are very clean, cutely decorated, and full of toys/TVs to entertain children. Dr. Han is friendly, great with kids, and most importantly seems to genuinely care. This was our son’s first visit to the dentist and Dr. Han helped him settle down and get used to the environment first, they even play brushed a puppet’s teeth together! He was also very thorough about explaining to us as new parents brushing tips and what foods/drinks were appropriate for our little guy. Would highly recommend Dr. Han to anyone looking for a qualified and caring dentist for their children.

I took my daughter for her first appointment a few weeks ago and Dr. Han made her feel extremely comfortable. She usually is not a huge fan of males (except me of course) but Dr. Han kind demeanor quickly made her feel at ease and she was smiling and laughing the whole time. Dr. Han showed us how to properly clean her teeth and gave her a sticker and small toy to go. He also explained to us which toothpaste we should be using and how to make the experience quick and enjoyable for our daughter . The office is kid friendly and extremely immaculate. The staff is really nice and the overall experience was nothing I ever experienced as a kid going to the dentist. I would highly recommend this office and Dr. Han!

Fantastic new dental office!! Really wish I could be a patient here (but i'm too old)!! Review is for my younger brother, who was seen by Dr. Han. He had major issues with his wisdom teeth impaction because they were really close to the nerve root. Dr. Han explained the risks of this situation, and that it would be a very high risk surgery in terms of potential nerve damage. He recommended an experienced oral surgery specialist who knew how to deal specifically with these special situations. In the wrong hands, my baby brother could have risked serious permanent damage! Thank goodness for Dr. Han's keen assessment and excellent connections to the right people. My family found Dr. Han to be very professional, courteous, thorough, meticulous, and importantly, genuinely caring. We are so happy to have found him and can't wait to rave about him to all our friends and family! Ease of scheduling: no problems. really love that he has Saturday availability. Facilities: brand spanking new, very spacious, private rooms. fancy looking gadgets, TVs, equipment. very kid friendly. (I'm tired of going to those places with curtains and shared rooms!) Walls were decorated with awesome posters: Frozen, Star Wars, Marvel, My Little Ponies- super kid friendly.
