I have a crippling fear of dentists and dental work. I have been seeing Dr. Capehart for almost 2 years now and each time I am there my experience gets better and better. I trust Dr. Capehart and his dental Hygienist. She is so compassionate and is always looking for ways to make me comfortable. Dr. Capehart has excellent bedside manner, skilled hands, and is always using the best products and procedures to ensure quality care. His front office staff are all kind, welcoming, and efficient. If I have a dental issue arise suddenly, they always get me in right away. I truly love that I feel safe here. Safe to get the care I need and safe to feel panic without embarrassment.

There are many great qualities about this dental office. When I first started with Dr. Capehart (about 2018), it had been at least 6 years since seeing a dentist even for a cleaning. I was surprised when I was told that there were no cavities and just to floss more for my gum health. One anxiety I had about getting back to the dentist was the fear of "how bad my teeth" must have been since avoid the dentist for years and the price I would need to pay to repair the damage. But Dr. Capehart was gracious in his approach to my situation and provided only the care necessary for my oral health. He also set me up with a mouth guard at this time informing of how serious of a problem my grinding and clenching could become. His office is affordable for the self employed without dental insurance and they have care credit financing available. The office is wonderful about holding you accountable to regular cleanings and are very helpful with scheduling (and rescheduling when needed). My last experience on 11/1/2022 was particularly supportive with the anxiety I was experiencing. The staff is so kind and caring. Dr. Capehart has a special way of helping you manage anxiety while he is practicing.

With new insurance, I changed to Capehart Dental. Today was my initial visit and I couldn't have been happier. My first visit to Capehart Dental and I was very impressed! I haven't been to the dentist in "quiet" awhile but they didn't make me feel bad about it and all the staff was so very friendly. Dr. Capehart was very honest I believe and gave me different options without any pressure except to relay to me any urgency of my situation. He gave me a plan of options and how much the cost would be and even referred me to specialist I need to see. He was very thorough with explaining my options and what all would take place with whatever option I chose! I will be back!

As someone that as ALWAYS hated going to the dentist, I must say my experience here was outstanding. I broke a tooth, and though we couldn't get it all taken care of that day, the visit was great. I actually had a bad experience. I called to change my appointment; (for the first time) to a different day. And Gabby was extremely reluctant to change it. And to my surprise, she told me that if I need to change my appointment again; that they will not be able to see me! For, "she couldn't have her patients changing the schedule". I'm a new patient, and I've NEVER had a company tell me that they will not be able to see me if I change an appointment. So, I just cancelled it and went with another dentist. Therefore, I wouldn't recommend them; based on my "scheduling" experience.

I took my daughter here on Friday and she's so excited to go back! Dr. Capehart has an excellent bedside manner. My daughter is 2 and he treated her so respectfully. We LOVE Capehart Dental! My husband has a "million dollar mouth" that has had lots of dental work done over the years. Unfortunately, it was time to have more work done. When we moved to Lewisville, we wanted to find a really awesome dental office. Dr. Capehart worked with us and really listened to our needs and concerns then offered the best solutions. He was knowledgeable but never pushy or rude. I had a horrible experience at a previous dental office when I got a crown so I hadn't been to the dentist in 3 years. However, when my husband came home and told me how wonderful Capehart Dental was, I finally took the plunge and scheduled a cleaning. I had a great experience but was not looking forward to going back to have a filling and crown done. But Dr. Capehart and his staff were truly amazing putting me at ease and making me enjoy the dentist again. My 3 year old daughter recently had her first dental cleaning and she did not want to leave! Dr. Capehart and the dental hygienist were just wonderful. False advertizement. Needed a same day emergency appointment for a crown that had a cavity stuck under it & it was eating through my jaw. They CANNOT do same day emergency appointments and the front desk (Gabby) is very kind but has little to no experience in customer service over the phone. Overall disappointed because I had read all the positive reviews and did the research but they were a let down.

For someone who grew up with an irrational fear of going to the dentist, Dr. Capehart is the perfect solution. He and his staff are kind and caring, and are great at putting me at ease. We found a great dentist for all of us! My 4 kids all had a great first experience from the front desk, to the x-rays, to the examining chair for the cleaning and check-up. Dr. Capeheart is very caring, competent and thorough. I was impressed by the fact that he actually cleaned all of our teeth himself, which he does at least once per year so he keeps up on the state of our teeth. He uses the latest technology and yet maintains a warmth and kindness that is rare for these parts.

Felt like they didn't want me there. I just spent a long time on the phone listening to how difficult it would be for me to go there. Talking in circles about how I needed to find a good dentist. That I need to find out what my insurance will pay. Other dentist offices have looked up prices and helped me determine if it's a lower cost. In the end is not worth it.

I was very skeptical in finding a new dentist after moving to Texas from Boston, MA. I loved my previous dentist because she cared for her patients immensely. Needing to see a local dentist, I found Dr. Capehart online. The great reviews helped in my decision but I was not totally convinced. Well, I just finished getting some major work done to my teeth and I need to say that Dr. Capehart has done a beautiful job. I never thought that he could meet my expectations but Dr. Capehart did. While this review is based on Dr. Capehart's excellent work, I also need to mention that he has an amazing staff and I thank them for their service and patience with me :)

By far this is the best dental office i have been to. The staff is friendly and provides exceptionally fast service. I didn't have to wait when I came in for a visit. They also remind you of your appointment via text and email. Everyone there is well dressed and professional. The doctor and hygienist seems very knowledgeable about their craft. They are able to answer all my questions and concerns in a way that is simple and understandable. No gimmicks. They seem to really care about their patients. They will provide, educate and recommend techniques on how to take care of your teeth appropriately depending on your situations.

I've never been to a dentist more than once, because of either bad bed side manner or they didn't care if I was in pain. I've actually had one dentist say to me "tough it out, I'm almost done" while I was crying in pain. Dr. Capehart is AMAZING. He's caring, funny, and most important, he knows what he's doing. I will be going back to him for any and all work i need.

Capehart Dental is the best dentist I've ever had in my life! Liz (office manager/receptionist) is so helpful and nice if I have any questions. Appointment times are always honored, and they take great care of me both as a patient AND as a customer!! Dr Capehart and his staff often ask us how we are doing, and are genuinely interested in the answer. It's really nice when folks go the extra mile to add that personal touch! The entire staff is extremely professional and courteous. Their equipment is state-of-the-art and they keep the place spotless. I highly recommend it to families - they even have video games in the waiting area (but we have NEVER had to wait long at all). Dr Capehart is especially great with my kids, who actually look forward to going to the dentist now! We basically love this place!!

My husband and I recently moved to Texas. I have a history of TMJ, and have had quite a few root canals, so was looking for a dentist who had a lot of experience in performing root canals. Dr. Capehart is wonderful. He is very knowledgeable and thorough. He is kind, gentle and caring, and explains everything that he is going to do beforehand. We didn't have dental insurance, but this office offers a plan for uninsured patients which gives discounts on services, making the cost comparable to prices we would have paid if we had been covered by insurance... I was amazed! The staff in this office is great... Liz at the front desk is very friendly and helpful, and so are Gaby and Leslie. I have already recommended Dr. Capehart's office to several people... He is the best dentist in Northern Texas!

I absolutely loved my experience at Capehart dental! I haven't been to the dentist in a long time and I know I needed quite a bit of work. Dr. Capehart put me at ease and explained everything thoroughly. Liz (the office manager) had a big smile when I walked in and was very helpful. Not to mention I was so happy my daughter loved her visit as well. The assistants were very patient with her and made her feel very comfortable. I would HIGHLY recommend Capehart dental :)

Dr. Capehart is amazing! I hadn't been to the dentist...in well, let's say....a while, and to top it off, I have a bit of dentist phobia, if you will. The whole staff is great and put me at ease. I had to have quite a bit of work done, but Dr. Capehart was caring and gentle. My son also had a great experience! He is 5 and has sensory issues, so I was very worried that he wouldn't do well, but Dr. Capehart and his staff were great with him. He loved it! He can't wait to go back (a far cry from my first dental experience at his age!!). I highly recommend them. They also have awesome text message reminders, which are super helpful!

These people are great! I've had a handful of cleanings and a couple fillings, and the entire staff is easy to work and get along with, friendly, polite, and makes you very comfortable. They always personally greet me, and they are great with communication while you're there in the office, or at home. The office is very clean and inviting, which is great too! Liz, who is the office manager, is wonderful! A few days ago I had a dental emergency that required me to make an emergency trip to the office. The staff was able to work me in, and responded to my call on the emergency line in a very timely manner. The most awesome part is that Dr. Capehart and his staff went into the office on their day off, and in awful weather to ensure that they could finish my services so that I would have what I needed. It doesn't get much better than that. I am eternally grateful to the service they provided me, when they could have just left it for later. Anyone who says Capehart Dental doesn't care about their customers, or doesn't go above and beyond is completely full of it. If you're in their area, and are looking for a great dentist, you should check them out!

Capehart Dental has restored my faith in dentists. I am usually petrified of having dental work done. Everyone in the office takes the time to treat me like more than a patient. Dr. Capehart wants the best for his patients and to find the best plan to get their teeth in shape. Liz is always a joy to talk to and has gone the extra mile with helping me understand our insurance. Gabby does so much to make me laugh and feel at ease. If you are looking for a dentist in the area, I cannot recommend Capehart Dental enough.

Best. Dentist. Ever. I actually look forward to every appointment, which is a unique situation for me and my rough dental history. The staff is so friendly and personable. I completely trust Dr. Capehart because he is very knowledgeable, experienced, and courteous. Another thing that makes this dentist unique is the way he treats his patients. He won't lecture you or make you feel bad about any issues you may have and he will not recommend unnecessary treatments. He is really on my side with my treatment plan and that is why I'll always go to him and recommend him to all of my friends and family. So thankful I found this office!!

Dr. Capehart and his dental office are great! His staff is friendly, helpful and always willing to go the extra mile. He is great at getting you in quickly and they went out of their way to make sure my treatment plan worked for me, my insurance and my lowly finances. PLUS i'm a wimp at the dentist and Dr. C is very patient with me, explains what is going to happen (or doesn't if i request that) AND there's tv to watch so you can kind of lose yourself in that...Overall they are great and will attend to special requests!

I relocated to Carrollton, TX a year ago and had to find a new dentist after seeing my last dentist for 12 years. Capehart Dental was a great choice. Liz was great to work with on getting scheduled and set up as a new patient. Dr. Capehart and Gaby were awesome on the day of my visit. I really appreciated that Dr. Capehart actually does the cleaning. If you want a friendly, patient, knowledgeable dentist with a great staff, look no further.

Dr. Capehart and his staff is awesome :) Liz is very helpful and was able to get my girls in with my busy schedule. My daughters really enjoy going to see Dr. Capehart and his staff. Before my girls dreaded going to their previous dentist, but now they actually look forward to their dental appt's. Both of my girls say he is very nice and informative. Since they raved how great he is, now I am a patient there as well. I find him to be be caring, nice and informative. I love that he spends time explaining any issues that my daughters have or any of mine. No other dentist spends this much time explaining to where we can understand. The thing that I appreciate the most is that he has called to check up on us after major treatment. I have never experience this before, I have never had any of my previous dentist or even a doctor call to check up on us after treatment. He's is a great dentist and would highly reccomend him!!!!

I am new to Texas and was really worried about finding Dentist. I feel so blessed to have found Dr. Capehart and his staff. They are so friendly and helpful. They took a lot of time explaining what they were going to do and made sure I was comfortable the whole time I was there. I had a PAINFREE root canal done, I was amazed. They are just awesome and am glad I found someone that can care for the whole family.

I am generally not a good dental patient. I have anxiety issues and think I can't swallow. Dr. Capehart was excellent at calming my nerves and making me feel very comfortable. I had an emergency situation with a broken tooth and thus requiring a root canal. Dr. Capehart did a great job and I would highly recommend him. Gaby, his assistant was wonderful in assisting him and making what normally would be very trying for me a pleasant experience. And Liz, at the front desk was very helpful in making my check in and check out procedures run smoothly and efficient. This Dental Office is top notch.

Dr. Capehart and his staff is great. I have gone to other offices and I felt comfortable there and my experience was very pleasant. I would recommend him, if you want a dentist who understands your phobia(anxiety) with dentists. I read his reviews before calling to schedule my first appointment. I was informed to bring my x-rays since I had been to another office, I am aware and understand my insurance only pays for a set every 3 years. This office is about 15 minutes away from where I live, but I really like the extended hours and weekends hours. I am a busy person and able to go on certain days of the week.Dr. Capehart is very honest and I appreciate that he called to check up on me after my office visit(dental work done on same day).

Going to the dentist has always been scary! So scary that I hadn't been in almost 10 years!! I went in to Dr, Capehart to have a tooth looked at that was bothering me, he said I needed to have a root canal! I was terrified. Right then and there we went ahead and did the procedure. It did not hurt one bit. Dr. Capehart was very attentive to my worriedness and was consitantly checking to make sure I was doing ok. From the time I walked in and was greeted by Liz, I felt comfortable. The whole staff is so caring and Sincere. I also recieved a call later that night from Dr. Capehart to make sure that I was doing ok and had little to no pain. Dr. Capehart is awesome and I would reccomend him to my family and friends. The front desk staff is super friendly and explain to me that I needed to bring my xrays since I had been to two other dentist for a consultation in the last 6 months. I recently had a root canal at Capehart Dental. Dr. Capehart and his staff made me feel so at ease. To give you some perspective, I am a 33 yr. old male that has never had any major dental work done simply because of fear. Dr. Capehart put those fears to rest for me. I typically go in to a Dental office to use my yearly insurance for cleanings and to gain a detailed list of what is needed to get my teeth in tip top shape. Every time I do it ends up being the same ol same ol. Too expensive and more importantly fear of the pain. Needless to say I never go back. Dr. Capehart was recommended to my famiy and I by a family member. We live in Plano and Dr. Capehart is in Lewisville. I was a little hesitant about going to see him simply because of the distance from my home. Im glad I did. I need 4 root canals, fillings and most likely braces. my 7 yr old son went to have his teeth cleaned along with my Wife and 4 yr old daughter. He puts the care of his patients at level I have not seen from the numerous dentists I have been to since adulthood. He was very gentle with my kids and they felt really comfortable which made me feel comfortable. The hours of operation there are really convenient with after hours and Saturday appointments. I just had my root canal the Saturday before last. 02/09/2013. I was really nervous, because yes I am a big baby when it comes to pain in my mouth, hello? who isnt?. It took about an hour and a half to do the root canal and several fillings. I had a TV above my head to watch so I was sitting pretty. Believe me when I say this, I literally had no pain through the entire process and my tooth is feeling great today. I will be going back to finish the other 3 root canals and fillings and I will be making Capehart Dental my lifetime family Dentist. Dr. Capehart, and the rest of his staff and Molar Boy go out of there way to make every member of the family feel welcomed and at home. A big thank you from the Brandenburg Family.

I was looking for a new dentist since moving to Lewisville so I wouldn't have to drive back to Plano every time. This office seemed to have amazing reviews so I thought it was a no brainer...WRONG! I called the office and they said they would need my x-rays sent from the Plano office first, yet still gave me an appointment. Plano office put them in the mail on Wednesday and Capehart Dental claimed they never received them (my appointment was the following Monday.) When they told me they did not receive the x-rays I asked if I could reschedule since the doctor would not see me until he had seen my x-rays. The office manager was so incredibly rude, I promise I have never been talked to the way she talked to me. She was condescending, had a nasty tone of voice and talked to me as if I were a child. She said most people would just pay out of pocket for new x-rays in my situation. Let's be honest, if you have insurance why would you pay out of pocket instead of rescheduling unless it was an emergency. She said it was all my fault and my responsibility to stay on top of my x-rays, which I did stay on top of because I am 100% sure the Plano office mailed them to them. When I asked why I couldn't just reschedule she said because she was going to get it from the doctor, and he would always remember me as "the girl" who cancelled. I asked, "so does this mean he will always look at me differently and treat me badly?" and Liz simply said, " You know what, just don't reschedule, just don't come." Then she hung up on me! So basically, not only is she rude and talking down to me, she made the dentist sound horrible, by saying he would take it out on her and would always remember my name as "that girl." I called my old office back to confirm they sent the x-rays and just like I thought, they did. The lady at the Plano office made a good point when I told her the situation. She said at least I got to see what the people at Capehart Dental are like before letting them do any work in my mouth. So I guess I did dodge a bullet.

I absolutely loved my experience here. I will always use this dentist office. Liz at the front desk is so sweet and makes you feel comfortable right away. Gabby the dental assistant was very good at her job while also reaching out to get to know me. Then Dr. Capehart came in and blew me away with his knowledge! Very caring and informational at the same time. I loved the people and the atmosphere. It hardly felt like an examination and cleaning. I felt like I had been going there for years (:

I went to Capehart tonight. I felt like I got an honest exam which is less common then you might think. The first dentist I tried found a lot of problems that Dr. Capehart said weren't there. Saved me around 3500. Highly recommend.

Well, were do i begin....I hate going to the dentist like most people, and had awful experiences while i was young. So those experiences just elevated my nervousness as i got older. My experience was absolutely amazing. The staff and Doctor, made me feel at ease and walked/talked me through every step. I have no fear now, when i walk through those doors. I received a mailer from Dr. Capehart and decided to call and see if they accepted our insurance. I have an adversion to dentists. I think that they are all born sadist created just to hurt "ME". My blood pressure is always low but skyrockets when I hear the words dentist appointment. I went to Dr. Capehart's office and I have never had the feeling of security and gentleness as I did with him. We have now been going for several months. I broke my tooth in half on a Sunday I called the office in hopes I could get an early appointment on Monday. This wonderful Doctor called me at home not once but five times to make sure I was okay at 7 at nite mind you. He tried to call in a prescription for me for antibotics and pain killers to make sure I was comfortable. My pharmacy was closed and he was willing to find another pharmacy for me. Since the pain was not that bad and I did not consider it an emergency I could wait till the next day. The pain did get worse but I knew I would have a script waiting at the pharmacy. He had his own medical issue on Monday however he was more concerned with me and how I felt than his own feelings. Now can you tell me how many Dentists or just your everyday person cares more about you then themselves?? This man is a blessing to Lewisville and the surrounding areas. He also picked his staff from a list of Angels because they care and are so sweet they have to be Angels. I can honestly say that although I am still nervous about going to the dentist I am no longer terrified and I don't believe that he is a born sadist just because he chose to be a dentist. (smile). My tooth will be fixed today and I am "almost" looking forward to it. Thank you Dr. Capehart for helping me overcome a childhood traumatic experience.

I had been looking for a dentist for a while and I finally feel like I have found one! I travel alot and his office hours seem to be flexible with my work schedule. I went in for a cleaning and couple of fillings and I was very pleased how Liz (front office person) was so friendly and was able to get me in with my crazy schedule. The office is very nice compared to other dental office that I have been to in the past(everything is so outdated including x-ray machines previous dental offices). Well, this office is the total opposite and he has all high tech equipment and the chairs in the rooms are real comfortable.His assistant(Gaby) was super nice and made me feel comfortable while she took the xrays and while the doctor cleaned and did my fillings. Dr. Capehart is such a nice guy, he was very polite and very thorough when he explained to me my issues. I think he truly cares for his patients and I felt like part of the family(sounds cheesy) but true, He also called me to check up on me a couple hours after my appointment. I have never had a dentist call me after any kind of procedure or appointment ever, so this says alot about Dr. Capehart! He cares about his patients! I am very pleased now I can say that I actually like going to see my dentist and I am going to send my girlfriend and my friends his way. If you are looking for an awesome dentist that truly cares about you and has flexible hours meaning he is open on Saturdays, yes on Saturdays! Then you should give Dr. Capehart a try.

AWESOME!! I had a dental emergency. I saw that Dr.Capehart was open on Sat. when I called they were so helpful and they were able to get me in the same day. I was so thankful. I had a wonderful experience. Dr Capehart and all his staff were fantastic, super friendly and professional. He was very informative and everything was explained to me in detail. In addition he called me later that evening to check on me to see how I was doing. I was very impressed. I definitely will be recommending Dr Capehart.

Since you are reading reviews, I'm guessing you are looking for a dentist - YOU HAVE FOUND THE BEST! We are a family of six covering 3 generations from ages 14 to 94 so our opinion covers every dental need and our opinion is - DR. CAPEHART IS TOPS! It goes without saying that we have experience with other dentists, some very satisfactory and others not so great. But after one lucky experience with Dr. Capehart, we are all looking to him for our dental care. My middle daughter, a student at UT in Austin, has a tremendous fear of dental work. She knew from her last check-up that she had multiple filling needs but was terrified to have the work done. I did my on-line search for a dentist that offered sedation and as soon as I saw Dr. Capehart's face, I knew this was the place to go. Of course, by this time my daughter was having pain and wanted to do something right away. After explaining the situation to Liz(who is awesome) at the front desk, times were juggled and my daughter made the drive up from Austin. Dr. Capehart assessed the situation, immediately gained her trust and fixed everything that same weekend. The office is SO, SO, SO accommodating in scheduling! My daughter was amazed, actually ecstatic, with the experience. Not only pain free during the procedures but no residual discomfort after. My youngest took heart from her sister's experience and admitted that she was having some sensitivity but had been afraid to let anyone know, so she was next to visit and was also thrilled with the care she received. Next on the list was our eldest household member. When you are 84, you have LOTS of dental history and our aunt is extremely happy with the care she is receiving - and her dental work involves much more demanding procedures than the girls. As we have progressed through the family, the continuing professionalism, exemplary work and ENTHUSIASM for his profession have totally endeared Dr. Capehart to us. The best news about all this is the affordability of this care. Dr. Capehart's practice accommodates most insurance plans and offers a fantastic in-house plan for those of us not fortunate enough to have insurance. Dr. Capehart does not compromise quality for cost, but his office makes every effort to make your experience the best and most affordable it can be. You can't ask for a better practice! 2021 Update - SInce the gradual pandemic recovery a lot is being said about businesses of every kind that they just aren't the same and will never be as good as before CoVid. Not this practice! Just had a routine cleaning and check-up and Capehart Dental is in fact better than ever! I can't stress enough that if you are looking for a caring, quality dental practice and not just a quick cheap fix, this is the place!

AWESOME! Finally, after a year of searching, I found a dentist that my 8 year old daughter trusts and is EXCITED about returning to see again (we have been to 5 FIVE dentists in the last year). She said he is the gentlest dentist. I was VERY impressed with the thought that Dr. Capehart puts into every aspect of his office. From glasses to shield his patients eyes, TVs with a choice of viewing for each age group, and forethought as to safety. If it was possible to give him a 10, I would do so! Thank you Dr. Capehart!!

I have had such wonderful experiences at Capehart Dental. I have always firmly said that I hate dentists, but after my root canal performed by Dr. Capehart I think I can safely say that this is no longer the case! He is very knowledgeable and personal, his staff is great! Walking into the office and having a little chat with Liz relaxes me in preparation for my appointment. Gaby is wonderful too and so helpful and understanding! Allthough the personal calls to check up on me after each visit tops everything! This is not your regular sadistic dentist who doesn't care about his patients, from your first appointment to your last, it's top notch customer service and a all in all pleasant experience.
