After three attempts to schedule a visit...they finally called back to say they got confirmation of being in network with my insurance. I asked what the charges were for the basic cleaning, preventative care only. I was told this office routinely conducts oral cancer screenings and a special type of x-rays that there would be an out-of-pocket cost for. I asked to decline those services. Because I am often misled about this, I asked for this in writing. I was sent an email with the procedure codes of D0150, D1110, and D0210 as my current, active treatment plan, all with zero anticipated costs based on my insurance coverage. After receiving this finally, 2 full months later, I scheduled my first appointment. Scheduling went perfectly and initial paperwork online went well. I was greeted with a friendly smile and an apology for how long it took to get things rolling. At this point, I said, no problem, and I was ready to move forward! The cleaning I had done with Blakely went very well. She was very professional and kind. I took the opportunity to let her know upfront my expectations regarding billing and anyone administering services at additional costs without my knowledge or consent. All I asked for was any treatment plan to be presented upfront and me be given the opportunity to accept or decline whatever services/costs that were being proposed. She stated that would be no problem and totally understood where I was coming from. Then the second we sat down in the chair, she said, ok, we’re going to go ahead now with the oral cancer screening. I said, Wait! I just finished telling you I do not want this done and am not willing to pay the additional charge. She reluctantly agreed to continue with only the services that I authorized, but it was awkward. All went well until it was time for the Dr. to come in. He looked at my mouth, did some testing with some sort of laser, then finished up and started talking to me about the treatment plan. He wanted to know more about my root canal and of course recommended a crown. I told him thank you, but for right now, I need to decline this recommended treatment and I would be happy to do so in writing. He then became very adversarial and proceeded to tell me that in order for patients to continue to be seen in his office, the cancer screening would be required. At this point I was shocked and confused. You knew before I even came in that I was declining this test. I was willing to put my declination in writing. He proceeded to tell me that it wouldn’t matter. If a medical board got involved and found out I had oral cancer and that he didn’t do anything to catch it, he would be held responsible and could get sued. This didn’t sound right to me. Since when does the patient not have the right to choose the treatments that are/are not provided to them? I thanked the Dr. and hygienist for their time and said, well, I guess I will be going then and understand that you are not permitting me to return? And the Dr. confirmed that is correct and walked out. Because this office is privately owned, I guess this Dentist believes he can do whatever he wants and there be no recourse or repercussions. Not 20 minutes after I left, I received a call back directly from the Dr. apologizing. He stated that he really believed I should have this service completed and that if I agreed to come back, he would provide it to me at no cost. While I appreciated the call and the apology, it was a little too late. I will not be returning to this office, and I caution anyone thinking of going here to beware of the hustle. I do wish you all the best! But please, do better and be better. For the sake of all healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients just seeking basic medical/dental care. This makes me never want to seek preventative care again. But I will, just with a different provider where I will hopefully be welcome.

I have been a patient of Dr. Holbrooks since he started the clinic in Lewisville. I knew he was amazing when my cap fell off on a Saturday and he met me at the clinic in his shorts and tshirt from doing lawn work to replace it. ? Last year my insurance changed and I had to find a new dentist. The new place said I needed deep cleaning and treatment would be about $1,400. I went back to Dr. Holbrook and that is absolutely was not the case. Now I’ll be going with their insurance plan and will continue with Dr. Holbrook. His practice is honest and I feel taken care of. I am not a fan of going to the dentist. However, Prairie Creek has totally changed my perspective. I needed to find a dentist after one tooth cracked one day. The moment I called the office, I felt more at ease! Their office manager is efficent and knowledgeable! They were able to get me in for a quick consultation. The overall ambiance of the office is amazing. I did not feel like another number or patient walking through the door. Gabby one of the hygienist is so kind! Her wonderful smile and confidence in her team to give superior care ensured me I found a great dental office. She took the time to ask me about my fears and insecurities about the dentist and how they can truly make this process easy for me. Boy was she right. Dr. Holbrook is amazing. He explained my xrays and the best way to tackle my treatment plan. They have the latest technology needed for dental care. His team respects his leadership and willingness to teach. You can just see how much they love working together! My first oral surgery was scheduled and they calmed my anxiety within the first 5 minutes. I literally was crying. I didn't feel a thing! The care was gentle and fast. Dr. Holbrook even checked on my progress that same evening!! What dentist does that??? He does! I look forward to finishing my implant process. I totally trust their expertise. If anyone has a fear of the dentist and you need extensive care;; this is where you need to go!!! You won't regret it! !!

In my book, Prairie Creek Dental rates 5+ stars. Dr. Holbrook is one of the best, maybe the best dentist that I have ever had. I'm in my mid 70's, so I have been to many different dentists over the years. My initial reason for visiting Dr. Holbrook's office was to learn more about dental implants. I called the office and spoke with Miranda to set up an appointment. Within a few days, I was at the office for my initial appointment. I met with Miranda. She did a great job of explaining the implant procedures and what to expect. I then had X-rays taken and met with Dr. Holbrook. I was impressed with him right away. He talked with me and discussed the implant procedure and made the determination that I was a good candidate for successful implants. Before I go further with my review, I want to emphasize that Dr. Holbrook is an excellent dentist. His staff is great and very professional. I want to commend Miranda, Gaby, and Connie. Everyone that I have been in contact with is excellent. I just don't remember everyone's name. I needed work on my upper teeth to be completed before work on the implants could be started. I had one tooth pulled and three crowns put on. This was all done in one day. I was sedated during the procedures and never experienced any pain. The only thing that hurt was inserting the sedation IV. After the work was completed, there was some minor discomfort. I only took one ibuprofen in the evening and never needed anything else. The crowns turned out great. A couple of months later in October, Dr. Holbrook removed all my remaining eight lower teeth and placed six mini dental implants and a temporary denture. This was again all done in one day under sedation. To my amazement, I never experienced any pain. My wife could not believe that I did not hurt. I believe I took one ibuprofen that night before bed. The next day, I could eat soft foods and before long I could eat most foods. Several months later after my jaw healed, Dr. Holbrook placed two more mini implants in my lower jaw. A few months after that, I received a new temporary bridge similar to my final implant bridge. It was a nice improvement over the denture. Last week, my permanent bridge arrived, and Dr. Holbrook put it in place. He only needed to make some minor adjustments to correct the fit. So, from beginning to end, it took about ten months. The results have been worth it. I am very happy with my final bridge!! My new teeth feel almost real. They look very good; they are smooth and feel just great. Eating is so much better now!! Five Plus Stars.

If you are in Lewisville and surrounding areas looking for a dentist this is the place to go! The staff is all nice and welcoming. It’s a nice and clean dentist office. The Dentist is so friendly and nice and took care of my issue and showed that he cared I wasn’t just a number walking into the door but a person with an issue that needed to be addressed. An added bounce is they play great music lol. You can always watching tv while getting your work done on your teeth. 10 for 10 would recommend!

I think that overall they are probably a good dental place, but I had a couple bad experiences there in one visit. First, they originally were going to charge me for an oral cancer screening that they didn’t ask if I wanted and wasn’t going to be paid for by my insurance. In the end they didn’t charge me because I brought that up. Second, they wanted to do a teeth leveling treatment, and I was not convinced about how that would solve the problem I had on my left jaw side. The dentist used a dumbed-down analogy to try to explain and it didn’t help (because it was way too general) and he eventually just stopped trying to explain it and left. He was not very patient with the patient.

*** Updated*** Unfortunately, I am ending my relationship with this provider. They don't want to take insurance from the major companies, and would prefer you buy into their insurance option. I went in recently for my regular cleaning (basic wellness), and received a bill for $227.00 after insurance paid their portion of $406.00. Again, this was just a cleaning. I get it that cost has gone up, but, and as much I've had good experiences, I need to find a new provider. My suggestion to anyone looking to use their services, is to call and discuss in detail, about billing and how they handle insurance. I’ve been to my fair share of dentist offices over the years, but the team at Prairie Creek are freaking amazing. Everything from making the appointment, through to the personalized welcome, and all the way through the process, they make you feel like a friend of the family. Dr. Holbrook’s gifts as a dentist come from a long family history of dentistry. He’s a natural. Connie, Gabi, Julie, and the rest of the team are so welcoming and all true professionals. If you’re looking for a Dentist, one you can trust and have confidence in knowing is looking out for your dental health, look no further than Prairie Creek.

My husband, Jay Marcom And I have been looking for a proper dentist that works well with his insurance for some time now. We found that Prairie Creek Dental Texas worked the best. Staff was very helpful with a pre interview analysis So everyone knew what they were getting into before an actual office visit. We had originally planned for him To get a check up knowing that there would be more visits for a lot of work to be done ( because of the cavities and cracking of his brittle teeth) After dentist inspected My husband's teeth We went over the game plan for the future. Basically all teeth would need to be pulled and then some form of implants later on. For today went with for 4 tooth extraction. These were the worst offenders. Over all the bill for this procedure was less than expected (with insurance) Took a little more time and effort then expected Because of his Teeth. Post op going well very little pain third day With only taking mild aspirin now! Swelling has gone down. Infact JAY says is mouth has felt better now than it has in the past Year and a 1/2 - 2 yrs!! THANKS Prairie Creek dental Texas, Dr. Holbrook his wonderful assistant ( Sorry we forget her name) And the rest of the Awesome staff For a very pleasant gentle experience!

A wonderful practice that has been providing me with outstanding dental care for over a decade and have corrected serious problems with my periodontal disease and bad bite. Dr. Holbrook has a wide variety of skills and special certifications, and can address 95% of your problems, but should a specialist be needed, they will communicate with a specialist to make sure your problem is corrected. The staff is responsive and caring, and have squeezed me in on very short notice when unexpected dental emergencies have popped up. Highly recommended!

I needed dental care after hours when my pain was unbearable. I reached out via text message hoping to schedule an early morning appointment and immediately got a text reply from their office tech (I believe Connie) asking about my issue. Five minutes later I get a call from Dr. Holbrook. Long story short, prescriptions were sent in to my local pharmacy to get me immediate relief and an early morning appointment was made to resolve my dental issue. This was the best dental emergency experience I ever had from start to finish. Thanks Dr. Holbrook and team for a job well done!

Such nice and highly competent professionals here from Julie, my awesome dental hygienist for the past “lotta years” to Connie who is the “voice” of the team there and has been for that same “lotta years”...there is just no better at what they do. Then there is Gaby, the Registered Dental Assistant, who I just met a few weeks ago (when I was in to have a few older crowns replaced) who is a delight to be around and who instills confidence in all that’s going on around you in such an authentic and fun way. She also knows every word to every song played over the sound system and doesn’t hesitate to serenade you, and I mean right on key, while the work is getting done by Dr. Holbrook who I have likewise enjoyed getting to know. He has an easy manner...no high pressure, and, I have to say, was spot on with the treatment plan he proposed for me. My new crowns feel very natural. I have every confidence in Dr. Holbrook and his great team. They are collectively the main reason I drive from Austin to get all my dental work done here at Prairie Creek Dental in Lewisville. Terrific people!

Hands down the BEST experience I’ve ever had at a dentist. It all started online. After receiving a marketing email from the office, I hopped online to check them out. They had their appointment times listed online for me to choose!! So convenient! Once I hit submit I received a welcome call from Connie thanking me for scheduling and explaining everything I’d need for my first visit. The forms were easy to find on the website. When I showed up for my first visit, the lovely Ms. Connie used my name when I checked in. There was no wait. They brought me back as soon as I sat down. Every staff member I interacted with introduced themself with a handshake! Each one also explained everything including my treatment options. They were upfront about all costs; which I greatly appreciated! I’m SO thankful I actually paid attention to the email. They’ve got a patient for life!

In pain desperpration going to other dentists for tooth extraction and then turned away or referred to some other dentist specialist, I saw the reviews on Dr. Holbrook and staff. I liked what I read. But was not optimistic when I arrived at his office because of the 3 prior dentists. After examination and was told he could help me, my spirits lifted. When he finished my tooth extraction I was so excited I could spit, literally. Great upbeat dentist and his staff!!

Posting this review on behalf of my Mom (Jean Williams) after her unexpected trip to the dentist this past week for a tooth issue. My Mom was very happy with Dr. Holbrook when she was having issues with one of her rear molars this past week. My Mom opted to have the problematic tooth extracted, and Mom said Dr. Holbrook was very gentle and extracted the tooth very quick and smoothly. She was very impressed with the overall process, and he was great about working Mom in for an appointment on short notice. Great dentist!

Dr. Holbrook took his time understanding my case and did his research before making any recommendations. I truly enjoy going to the dentist! Why, because Randall Dental Associates work hard to make the experience fun and pleasant. I recently went in with a lifelong TMJ issue. My wife and I have been going to Prairie Creek Dental (formerly Randall Dental) for almost 14 years. We've always had very professional service and friendly faces greet us there. Appointments are always on time and they even send you a text reminder in the days preceding to make sure you don't miss yours. We moved about 5 miles further from their office but we still go there since we trust the work they do and appreciate their values.
