The dentists and hygienists are fine. Comparable skillset to others I’ve seen. The person who responded to my feedback about billing confusion on the other hand… at best they need a vacation and therapy session and at worst they should change careers. I went yesterday for a filling. I’d been in December and gone over what I’d believed to be the price of the filling in January. They told me I had to prepay for the appointment so I did. Yesterday they told me I owed for the appointment. We went back through what I paid in December and I discovered the cleaning and X-rays they’d done in December weren’t covered by my insurance. I was irritated no one told me before the Dec appointment that they wouldn’t be covered or even the day of the appointment. First, people should never receive surprise bills. Second, because the cleaning and X-rays weren’t covered, the cost was something like $150, AND the person told me I had to prepay to schedule the Jan visit, it led me to believe I had paid in full. If they’d shown me a breakdown of the December visit and the Jan visit noting my deductible wasn’t included and they wouldn’t know it until Jan, there wouldn’t have been an issue. My name is Karen, but I am not “a Karen.” I didn’t throw a fit in the office and I paid the bill. After the visit I received the standard request for feedback. You have the option to leave a review or give them direct feedback. I replied directly to them with what I’d experienced and that it should be standard for patients to be presented with an itemized estimate prior to services rendered. This was last night at about 8. I got a reply within minutes, and that person should have taken a breath first. Their response was essentially, “sorry you don’t know your insurance. We aren’t going to take insurance in the future because determining coverage is hard. We are firing you as a client. Find a dentist who prioritizes your insurance over your care.” They actually responded that way to feedback telling them they should provide a breakdown of costs before doing anything. I’m sure they are patting themselves on the back for their snarky dismissive sorry not sorry. But what you, Gentle Reader, should take from this is they will charge you for things without you knowing ahead of time. If there is a problem and you try to address it with them directly, they’ll twist it to be your fault. The way they should have responded was they are sorry, it is never their intention for a surprise bill, they value their patients, and they will review their procedures to see how to avoid that in the future. And actually mean it. So good luck, go as long as you don’t tell them anything was wrong.

The front office personnel are friendly, helpful and efficient. The hygienists are friendly, thorough and professional. I’ve had occasion to see two of the dentists within this practice and both were excellent. The dental work I had was great- good results and not much pain. The doctors were both informative with great “chairside” manner. I appreciated the explanations of what was going on and the time taken to verify I was comfortable during their work. The office has well thought COVID-19 procedures in place to protect patients, employees, and others. The office runs smoothly and safely.

However, I fear going to the dentist because I've had hygienist in the past that have tore up my gums during a cleaning and left my gums sore for a few days. Today’s visit was disastrous. After arrival @ 2:00 for my 3:00 appointment i was called back @ 3:15. Macie… ??
stated i would hate/dislike her today. ?? then, she proceeded to tell me my gums were bleeding… well, after poking them with the utensil I’m quite certain they would be!!!
When the dentist arrived, nothing she stated was the truth. He saw no bleeding… NOW—- I’m 56 never a cavity, visit my dental appointments every 6-months. My last cleaning was April 2024 no issues!! My demeanor is walk around with a toothbrush and floss in my Cary bag. That’s how analysts i am along with OCD and they know this. So, confirming with the dentist that there were no issues with my teeth nor gums i politely exited the establishment. With this DO NOT TRUST EVERYONE WOTH WHATS IMPORTANT TO YOU!!! It would have never occurred to me that this office could/ would play make believe for untrue charges to insurance. This world never stops amazing me. I left, They lost and a new dentist will appreciate me. I won’t trust them ever again. Businesses know, train and trust your employees!! Her bad day didn’t cost me my teeth but, may do damage to a believer. If that’s business practice state it and share the costs with patients. Racketeering and taking advantage of insurance inflation. We don’t stand a chance of affordability.

We love Dr. Nguyen! My kids have been going to him since they were toddlers :) Staff is so friendly and good with kids so they don’t feel anxious. The dentists are very gentle and always explain to the child what they’re doing beforehand as they go along! I have not experienced any of the overcharging or recommendations of unnecessary treatments some people are complaining about here? Appointment Reminders have always been sent well in advance and if I have to change or reschedule it’s always easy! My kids love Prestige!

After my first visit to Prestige, for the first time in my life, I can honestly say I've found a dentist I like. I'm actually excited to return and know I will get complete patient-focused care. Dr. Nguyen takes a conservative approach and doesn't recommend unnecessary treatments; he focuses on the whole patient and long-term oral health. Macy was amazing and took the same level of care, with a focus on long-term outcomes. There is no "product pushing" in this office, and a complete rejection of abrasive products that harm your tooth enamel. Fair pricing also, even for cash-pay patients. It's really a breath of air.

Prestige Family Dentistry is amazing!! I was looking for a new dentist since I’m newer to the area. They have exceeded my expectations!! I went in for a cleaning and they actually listened (unlike my previous dentist’s) to my concerns about a tooth that has been painful for many years. They found it was infected and they were able to go through the treatment plan and scheduled the procedures needed immediately. They took away my worries and made me feel heard and comfortable. During the cleaning and procedures themselves, Dr. Nguyen and all of his staff were extremely kind and explained everything that was going to happen from the moment I sat down in the chair.

After having a not-so-great experience with another local dental group, I located Prestige on my insurance carrier’s website. I am happy I made the decision to choose this practice. Prestige Family Dentistry is in a great location in Flower Mound near other local shops and offices. The office is bright and colorful with modern decor that is very inviting. The waiting area is complete with a complementary fridge stocked with beverages and juices. A complete coffee and snack bar also provides concession while patients await their appointment. The staff is friendly and professional. The clinical staff are polite and provide a great deal of direction while rendering top care. At my appointment, I saw Dr. DiRusso who was very gentle in his approach. He explained his technique throughout the process and constantly checked on me to see if I needed a break before proceeding to the next phase. Overall, I recommend this dental provider to all - especially if you are new to the area or have had a not-so-great experience in the past.

My only comment: when the nice young lady came to the chair and told me the price of my dental work (which was what I expected) and then I went to check out there was a $90 exam fee added. That is probably stated somewhere but I missed it. The only exam was to fix my dental issue (or maybe I missed it while I was watching HGTV on the overhead tv). Other than that comment, a pleasant dental visit.

Everyone was very nice from the time you walk in, Rachel was great and gave a first good impression, then it was easy to get my appointment for my annual check up, I had a very sweet hygienist followed by the doctor’s review of my teeth. I found him very knowledgeable, he explained to me what would need attention and how to avoid my gum recession. After that, I was immediately directed with Aubrey who gave me all the information about the proposed treatment. It did not feel any pressure, the place is also very clean and although I do not enjoy going to the dentist, it felt good and pleasant all way long. I’ve met all the doctors because they all couldn’t understand why after getting a crown placed on my tooth why I was having pain and sensitivity. I went to mint dentistry and ahh what do yah know the doctor told me I need a root canal from looking at my xray. They were confused as to why I had a crown put on when I needed a root canal. I spoke to the manager and she said the CEO Dr. Nguyen would be reaching out to me, that was months ago. Everytime you have an appointment with prestige dentistry they want you to leave a review, then more notifications to your phone from your email and text messages to leave a review. Well since I never received a follow up call about my concerns with what happened with my case I am now leaving the review you asked for so many times from me. I’m still paying for a bill for a crown when I needed a root canal and was lied to. And I know you will respond with “ we try to save your tooth and we are happy you are getting treatment elsewhere and hope we can help you in the future”. Thank you for not helping me and lying to me and for making me pay a bill that you knew I didn’t need. Have a blessed day. If you do decide to go here, ask for the assistant with the pink hair because she’s the only one who cares about the patients. The doctors don’t care and just care about money. So get a second opinion.

Dr. DiRusso is incredible! I have anxiety bordering on terror regarding dentist visits. My body absorbs lidocaine like a toddler absorbing the curse words uttered by careless uncles. Lots of wincing and pleas to stop, you know? Anyways, Dr. DiRusso and his crew are sympathetic towards my anxiety, and patient with my stubborn gums. Couldn’t even feel the needle. Guy’s got a gentle touch, which is impressive when he’s got a drill and needle as tools. Today I had to have multiple fillings done. The dentist and the assistant were very understanding and compassionate about my anxiety. They allowed breaks when I began to feel overwhelmed. I had a panic attack when they needed to use the mouth guard and they did not force me to use it. I was grateful and it helped make me feel comfortable. After experiences with several mediocre dentists, I feel very lucky to have found Prestige, they are truly a world class dentistry. I first went for a regular cleaning, it was fast and efficient, the x-rays were easy and my specialist was friendly and made me feel relaxed. I returned for a filling and a crown, both expertly done by Dr. DiRusso, who is super friendly and very professional. I will add that getting novocaine was a breeze, as there is a technician there who wiggled my cheek as the novocaine was injected and I didn't feel a thing! I recently returned for a deep clean, which i desperately needed because my gums were bleeding. Logan was my specialist and she was fantastic. She not only made my mouth feel like new, but she also lasered my gums which was painless and quick. She took measurements of my gums and gave me all sorts of advice on flossing and brushing techniques as well as advice on what foods decay your teeth and why. Six weeks later I went back for a post-checkup with Logan and my gums were healed, no bleeding, and my gum measurements were in a much better range. I am so grateful I found Prestige and I plan on going 3 times a year to keep up my dental maintenance. I've found over the years that proper maintenance pays ten-fold to prevent cavities and dental issues. Thanks Prestige!

I went into the office terrified due to previous dental experiences and as soon as I walked in and spoke to reception I knew everything would be all right. Everyone is so friendly and respectful! The best way to describe it is organized. Everyone knows what they’re doing, and speaks to you in a way that you can also understand. I had a treatment coordinator come in and go over everything with me with great detail and made everything make sense so I was left with no questions to ask at all because everything was explained just perfectly. We started going here just to get second opinion on daughter's teeth but then we liked the office, doctor, hygienist and staff so much that all of us started going here. They typically ask for full deposit ahead of the visit which makes sense as sometimes people cancel without any notice, however they were ok with me depositing a 40% deposit. Always a great visit at Prestige. Back in October, I had to get a night guard due to wear and tear on my teeth from grinding at night. It has been life changing for me (no more headaches every morning!). However, I have seemed to somehow crack the back upper right of the night guard twice now. Prestige has been amazing at accommodating me in not only scheduling to get them fixed, but to also find the root cause of me breaking them. My work schedule is so crazy I went in for a cleaning and got a broken tooth fixed and I really didn’t have a clue where I could fit it into my work schedule. Prestige is such a great place. I have always hated the dentist. But these people have been so kind and professional. My dad taught me to always remember people's names. It shows you value them. And as an adult, I always remembered to try to do that. I've only been going to this office for a month. I've been three times total. But every person there recognizes me and calls me by name. They remember what happened the last time I was there and what is coming in the future. Now I know, they can't remember every person. But that makes it even more impressive. I guess they must review who is coming in each day, refreshing their memory on what we look like, what is going on in our treatment. I had to change dentists since my insurance changed, so I decided to go to Prestige Family dentist for my cleaning and oral exam. I was received very well by the staff. Kailee did my exams and cleaning. She asked me if I had any concerns and actively listened to what I said. She was very careful when she cleaned my teeth since I mentioned that I have sensitive gums. I barely felt the cavitron (a dental tool used to clean teeth). Despite Kailee being so gentle, I was amazed at how clean and stainless my teeth were after the cleaning. Sometimes we think that harder is better, and it is not. Technique and knowledge are what work. My doctor was Dr. Nguyen, who checked my teeth and X-rays; she is very knowledgeable and won't suggest any treatment you don't really need.

Going to Prestige doesn’t feel like going to the dentist. It’s just another appointment—no stress, no fear. I see Dr. Rachel, and she’s simply the best. She has guided me through cleanings, fillings, and even Invisalign. She is patient and informative. I like knowing exactly what’s coming up next when it comes to my teeth, and Dr. Rachel never leaves me in the dark. My teeth are straight and clean, and I’ve never been more excited to smile! I’ve seen several techs now as well, and I hate that I can’t remember names to give them credit for their stellar service, but it also just goes to show that no matter who helps you at Prestige, you’re in caring, capable hands. As for the office, it’s always clean and inviting. As an HGTV junkie, I appreciate that their TVs are almost always on that channel. The receptionists are savvy enough to have you checked in almost the second you walk through the door, but heads up: to be this quick with check-ins, they will take a profile picture at your first appointment. The staff does their best to make sure you’re comfortable both waiting for and during your appointment. I particularly like that they hand you sunglasses before shining the bright overhead light into your mouth, but that’s just me. The exam rooms are open, yet still feel private enough. Checking out is a breeze. If you want to have a consultation for something like Invisalign, they courteously take you to the other side of the office to discuss pricing in relative private. From start to finish, an appointment here just feels easy. I honestly can’t remember how going to the dentist felt before I found Prestige.

Wait time a bit longer this visit than usual. Possibly due to new office and recent move. All in all I really do like the staff. I’ve seen the three dentists there throughout the course of adjusting my oral sleep apnea device and everyone of them have been great. The oral device adjustments have been a long process. After my last sleep study, my consult with the sleep doctor recommended an adjustment greater than the last one, which was a big one. They made the adjustment on-site very quickly and willingly. I had a little wait prior to checkout as well—seemed busy for a Friday morning. But aside from that, checkout went smoothly. 5 stars if wait time cut down.

PF-Dentistry is everything I’ve wanted in a dentist office. I hadn’t been in to see a dentist in…quite some time…. So I didnt have a dentist to call when my tooth cracked on Saturday. I called almost every dentist to see if someone had after hours and ended up at a shady emergency dentist. They said it wasn’t an immediate situation, and while I was there Jean from Prestige called AND texted me to make sure I wasn’t, she Said she got my message and called me right away.. (Which goes a long way when you’re freaking out). Once she made sure I was ok she started telling me about options, even said I could go in the next day (Sunday) to see Dr B. Nguyen, even if I was a new patient. She could email me the paperwork and it would be ok. While deciding on what to do, Jean kept the conversation calm and helped support me in my decision. She had a great way leading the conversation while validating my concerns. The emergency dentist ended up not being honest, so I decided to not stay with them but instead decided to book with Prestige Family Dentist on the Tuesday. While waiting for my appt on Tuesday Tori called/texted me almost everyday until my appt to make sure I was ok/checking in. I know it may have been her job to keep in touch with me, (maybe it wasn’t) BUT it was her demeanor while doing so. So calm, kind, and patient while understanding the urgency. While I was there, the entire staff was friendly. Dr. Bryant Nguyen, was amazing. The dental assistant Tyler was equally amazing. They explained what they were doing, made sure I was comfortable and validated/addressed any concerns I had. You could tell the entire office had great communication skills. Seriously. You can feel the team work, and the atmosphere is amazing. I had to have my son with me during the initial exam, and they had no issues with it. They made me very comfortable having him there, (bc I couldn’t find care last minute that day), instead of a burden. At the end of the exam, Devon explained the treatment payment very thoroughly and with patience. I think one of the best things about this experience was the communication between team members. Even if I was speaking with different members, they already knew my story and I didn’t have to retell what happened every time. Can’t say enough nice things about this office. Will absolutely be staying with them. Finding a dental office with this atmosphere, family values, and patience felt like finding a unicorn… but these offices do exist and Prestige Family Dentistry is that unicorn of dental offices!

Prestige Family was amazing. Alex was so good with our kids helping them feel comfortable and teaching them tips on how to keep up with oral hygiene. Taylor was equally good with my husband and me and was thorough but gentle. However what impressed me the most was their flexibility and understanding. My husband had to leave for an urgent work meeting and left me alone with our three children all while trying to get my teeth taken care of. The staff all pitched in wherever we needed them including helping make my kids comfortable with a show they liked while I left for X-rays. After having a filling come out that was placed by another dental firm, I contacted the amazing team at Prestige Family Dentistry and they were able to work me in that day. Dr. Bryant was friendly, to the point made sure I know the costs up front. He had a light touch and got the filling fixed in good time and accurately. He left me in the great hands of Taylor who made sure I was comfortable and experienced the lest amount of discomfort preforming a gun check and teeth cleaning. All the dentists and staff were excellent to say the least. I took my 6 and 9 year old in this morning for a checkup. The entire place was spotless and even had TVs on the wall and ceiling. It definitely made the kids much more comfortable. The only negative was that I was charged for fluoride when checking out but was not told in advance that our insurance does not cover it. It wasn't an exorbitant amount, but it was disappointing not being told upfront. I called the office back after we left and spoke to their patient coordinator who empathized completely with me and offered to refund the amount. I don't think most dental places would have extended that offer, so high marks to them for doing what was right. We'll definitely be coming back in 6 months.

Watch your pocketbook. I was charged in excess of $2000.00 for procedures included with my crowns that looked like they belonged together but open inquiring what that procedure was, it was an unnecessary procedure that wasn’t done but I was charged for. Ask for a full copy of your records and if you received a crown and a “core buildup” was included you might want to challenge that if a core buildup was actually done. A core build up is if you don’t have enough tooth left to place a crown so fillet is added in order for the crown to attach. My teeth were all intact yet I was billed for the core buildup as well bc on the estimate you are given includes that if needed. But I was automatically billed for it even though it never happened. Get a copy of your bill especially if you made a loan to have your dental work done. I was also charged over $40 to tell me I should use Sensodine! Got to use that loan money up somehow. Only pay for what you get, check your charges. I did get a refund after proving the work wasn’t needed or done.

Almost an excellent visit today. Every staff member I interacted with was pleasant. My Hygienist was the best. She was sweet and also gentle during my cleaning. This office isn’t pushy for the most part and they’re honest and clear when communicating. Everything is explained in terms that are easy to follow and understand. My only comment is to the check-out person. When a patient is facing a large cost as a potential next step; the best approach is to let them sleep on it if they aren’t ready to commit. I explained that I wanted some time to think about if I would be exercising my next step or take an alternative path; and I mentioned discussing it with my husband. She then asked if I wanted to go ahead and call my husband now!. That was completely out of line and I gently told her that no one should be asked to have a personal discussion about finances while in the office.

At one time, this was a comfortable place to have my dental needs met. Not anymore. The organized, orderly front desk hides the chaos and confusion where cleaning and other dental procedures are carried out. The rooms are small and cluttered and the atmosphere is anything but peaceful. I spent an hour having my teeth cleaned and wishing I’d never come in. The tech was slow, interrupted constantly, by another tech, and appeared uncomfortable with her role. Made a follow up cleaning which I plan to keep until I can find somewhere else.

COVID UPDATE: Due to COVID I was apprehensive about going to the dentist and taking off my mask during my check up. Yesterday I went in for my teeth cleaning and X-rays and waited in my car until they texted that they were ready for me. Once inside, there was space to stay distanced as we took temp checks and signed COVID forms. The staff was masked, and all masks were properly covering noses and mouths (thanks!). When I got to the dentist chair I was nervous when I took off my mask for my cleaning, but was thrilled to see the air purifier two feet away from my chair. X-rays were executed in the exam room, another change that I appreciate. The hygienist gave me a pair of glasses to wear during the exam - I had meant to bring my own for safety, and was really happy that they had everything covered. Only the hygienist and Dr. Nguyen were in my room while I was unmasked. When chatting with Dr. Nguyen, he told me that due to high emergency phone calls his office was only able to shut down for a week. They have been busy since March taking care of people's dental health, and it shows. Their safety protocols left me at ease, and I feel relieved to have my teeth clean and healthy. I'm thankful that I have a thoughtful, safe, and smart dentist office to visit during this stressful time. I will be back for my sixth month check up next year! ----- 2019: After several unfortunate visits to Dallas area dentists resulted in way too much drama around a replaced crown and bite guard, I turned to Google. It was the end of the year and I had to get my teeth cleaned, and had pretty much given up trying to get my bite fixed. Prestige Family Dentistry showed up with good reviews, so I made an appointment. Dr. Patel spent a few minutes looking at my teeth and figured out how to fix my bite immediately without my saying much about it. I'd planned on not saying something, but he noticed how off my bite was, and told me he could fix it easily. I was completely overwhelmed by how observant, efficient, kind and effective he was. After feeling like a pay check to dentists in 2018, I was finally in an office where I felt like they put my health and how I felt first. I had a second visit yesterday with Dr. Nguyen to discuss my bite guard and take care of jaw tension. He is caring, kind, and patient as well - but more importantly, they are great at taking care of teeth. Prestige Family Dentistry in Flower Mound is a win, from the moment you walk in the door, to the moment you check out.

I immediately left the place once they came out with a print out of what it would cost. Trust your gut instincts. Dr Ngyuen seems a bit shady. She was trying to force me to do all kinds of procedures at once. Shop around people. I called a second place and immediately got a more reasonable price. Half the price in highland village. Beware! I see that they have 4.9 stars. Overly charging people should be a crime.

Not impressed with this place at all. My wife and I brought our 7 year old in for a cleaning and x-rays and found out she had a couple of cavities. Prestige completed the cleaning but for some reason referred our daughter out to a different dentist to fill the cavities - a dentist which turned out to be out of network. We found another dentist in network to fill the cavities and I called Prestige to request they send the xrays over since they had just been taken. They told me sure no problem but never did. This place is a joke.

Prestige Family Dentistry is absolutely everything you would want from a dentist office. The receptionists are warm and friendly, the office is clean, and the staff are all knowledgeable. Dr. Nguyen is fantastic at what he does and goes the extra mile making sure all of his assistants and hygienists are well trained. I highly recommend this dentist office!

I saw on nextdoor that someone else was injured by Prestige Dental in FM. Dr. Nguyen broke the crown on my implant and refused to fix it. I seriously went in to get a dental cleaning and he said my implant was loose and needed to tighten. He drilled away on my crown to open it and then said he didn’t know how to fix it. I asked about my crown and he said it was fine. Until I bit into a piece of bread the next day and it broke off where he drilled. I said you broke my crown and need to fix it. He said okay for $900. I then went to Dr. Matt in Bartonville and he said there is nothing wrong with my implant. I turned him into Lisa McLerran at the North Texas Dental Society. I’m not usually a person who likes to report on social media but please note that I contacted his office before I turned him in to ask if he’d pay for another dentist to repair my crown and he said no. Now someone is on next door and says she sustained an injury and lost feeling in her tongue. Please you have been warned.

Dr Nguyen is personable and loves a little sarcasm to break the ice. The nurses know my kiddos by name even when they don't have an appointment. The nurses also will laugh at themselves. They make u feel like they have known u forever. Great work is done, my kids actually like going to the dentist. TV is set to the channel u want so u can watch TV while work is done. Every time I have gone, they get me back earlier than appointment time. Been 6 times with nary a bad thing to say about them. Jen, the office manager, has a smile on her face and always makes accommodations around my busy schedule. She is the bees knees. They even accommodate being funny with accents. I have taken my 6 year old daughter here for an exam and cleaning because of the good reviews. She had chipped a tooth eating popcorn and needed a good sized filling. The staff is very inviting and great with kids. They were very efficient with their time but willing to discuss my concerns and questions. I practiced dental hygiene about 10 years ago and they were using some new equipment I hadn't seen before which made everything go much easier for tiny mouths. Only thing I wish they would have done was take a final X-ray to make sure that their filling wasn't sticking out or had a gap or anything like that. Maybe they are spot on all the time and very confident they got it right so don't feel like they need to check. And they quite possibly could be. It was a great experience!

This was my first visit here. The beginning went great, everyone was nice. After telling me out of the 3 oral surgeons they refer too, one had an opening this Friday. Since I was leaving out of town tomorrow for work, I had to make special arrangements today to get to a 3:40 consult. After changing flights, getting plans in place for my family, so I could have my very painful wisdom teeth out Friday, the oral surgeon informs me they do not have any openings and did not tell Prestige there was an opening. Prestige called me and said “there were too many hands in the pot” and now I am left with no date to get my wisdom teeth out. They gained and lost a new patient all in a matter of 3 hours. I had planned on taking my family as well. You all should slow down and be more organized, it affects your patients greatly.

This is the first dentist we went to when we moved to Texas. I'm so thankful we were lucky enough to have them recommended to us by a neighbor. I HIGHLY recommend Prestige Family Dentistry. They are so sweet and patient when it comes to children. I wish I would have had a dentist like Dr. Nguyen when I was a child. They also have TVs on the ceilings when you lean back in your massage/heated seats. STOP READING REVIEWS AND CALL THEM!!! :)

I never usually write reviews, unless I can help someone to make a good choice. Especially when it comes to your dental health! I moved from Arizona last year and needed to find a new office. I am a registered dental assistant and received my license from the state of California. I am very knowledgeable about dental care, and I consider myself a pretty good judge when it comes to finding a good office. I went to prestige and figured I would make my own decision when it came to picking a new office. I had been having pain associated with a wisdom tooth. The office was clean and the staff was friendly. So I decided to give it a try. They took a panorex of my mouth. They did not take an individual x-Ray (periapicle,) or a bitewing, in able to properly diagnose treatment for my wisdom tooth. I had a hooked root, witch would make it more difficult to extract than if it were straight. Dr. Nyugen, looked at the panorex and told me it looked to be a straight forward extraction, and that the root did not appear to have a hook shape. (Knowing myself that the root was not straight,) I did not argue with his diagnosis and I scheduled an appointment for the extraction. Everything started out well, I got numb, then he proceeded to extract it. When the tooth was not coming out like it was supposed to, he started drilling the tooth into pieces to help with the extraction process. ( he also did not use water while drilling into the tooth and bone!) Drilling without water causes heat and friction, which can result in death to the bone. His assistants are not knowledgeable on proper chair side techniques. As he was drilling, she was not properly suctioning, which limited his field of view. (A few weeks after the extraction, and several sutures later, I was irrigating pieces of bone from the site.) I will try to wrap this up. I was in the chair for 2 hours, which involved a lot of pain and discomfort! I also suffered two dry sockets, which he had to go into twice to treat. The last time I was there he placed sutures and told me to come back in 4-6 weeks to have them removed. The girl at the front desk said she would make a note in the computer so she could send me a reminder to make an appointment. Well, it's been a few months now and no reminder and no call to see how I am healing after such a traumatic extraction. Well, I have since removed them. Hopefully the temperature sensitivity will get better, due to all the bone loss!

I had a chipped and broken denture repaired at Prestige Family Dental. I arrived for my appointment 5 minutes early and Dr. Nguyen and his staff were waiting and ready for me. Dr. Nguyen took my denture and disappeared. Less than 30 minutes later he returned with my denture repaired, looking great and fitting well!!! I was amazed. I cannot say enough good things about Prestige Family Dentistry. Dr. Nguyen and his staff are gentle, caring, and kind. It had been 7+ years since I had visited a dentist. An agonizing toothache forced me to find and visit a local dentist. I chose Prestige because of the good reviews, and close proximity to my house. I could not be happier with my decision. They did not make me feel ashamed about waiting so many years between visits, as I had imagined in mind they would. I immediately felt comfortable and could tell I was in good and caring hands. Dr. Nguyen was honest in his diagnosis and did not try to up sell me on procedures that weren't needed. The office was comfortable, with a massage chair and two tvs in the room. Another great experience today at Prestige Family Dentistry. Very friendly staff! We were looking for a change from our pediatric dentist and are so happy we found Prestige. Dr. Nguyen stays on schedule so there was no waiting and he took time with our elementary age son. After each visit he has taken time to talk with the patient and me (parent) to answer my questions, even taking time to pull up xrays. Very personable experience and I highly recommend Prestige to anyone, especially an older child/tween looking for a change from a pediatric dentist.
