I came to this dentist because she was well recommended on Reddit. I felt very confident in Dr. Bear’s assessment of my teeth health. I am protective of my teeth and dislike dentists who want to give me aggressive filling plans. She recommended for me to have one of my fillings redone and it turned out to have a large cavity behind it. Ironically, the dentists who were so aggressive to have me fill my small cavities completely missed this one Dr. Bear helped me with. I recommend the laughing gas and she quickly did my cleaning and filling within 30 minutes. I think one of her assistance is new but everyone in the office is very friendly and accommodating.

Avoid this dentist at all costs! Since my insurance has changed and covers less than it did previously, both my wife and I have been pushed to the limit with the entire staff peddling unnecessary treatment to increase revenue. This morning my wife showed up to her regularly-scheduled standard cleaning and was turned away after waiting 30 minutes because she would not agree to a deep cleaning and some sort of laser treatment that they claimed to be essential (not to mention hundreds of dollars out of pocket). It was an uncomfortable experience, and not our first at this location. As of this morning they have officially lost my business and I discourage anyone else from using Smile Craft Dental in Flower Mound.

Update: Many of the below issues have been resolved. The practice reached out to me, which I appreciate. The woman who spoke to me about my night guard on my most recent appointment is the reason I will not be returning to this practice. She sold me on a $500 night guard because I said I was unsure if my previous guard (which is not old) fit anymore. She said my only option was to throw the upper night guard away and buy a totally new lower night guard. When I came to pick up the lower guard, I voiced my concerns to her that it felt too tight. It felt like my teeth were shifting with it. She had an attitude and was very condescending. She disregarded my concerns. Now I have a useless night guard that I paid a fortune for. She said worst case, throw it in boiling water for a minute. I didn't pay all that money for a guard that doesn't fit that I would have to remold myself. And if the boiling water were an option, why was I not told this about my upper guard? Additionally, I have been feeling very rushed the past few times I've come in. and I've been getting inconsistent advice on my dental concerns. Now it has progressed to the point that I have to go see a specialist. The hygienist who flossed me recently was also extremely rough. The night guard situation was just the last straw

Today it was my last day in this practice so I feel like I can leave my honest review : I have been going to this location for a while and I truly adore the dentist and the dentist cleaning team! I’ve been there and treated 8 cavities, did couple cleanings, Fluor treatments etc on this past 2 years I’ve been going to this practice. When I went today something was off tho, the new people working In the front (two white ladies) acted the whole time as sales people and had that commission driven pushy vibe. The dentist said my teeth was good she just suggested a night guard because I complain often of sensitivity, the person that came to talk to me about the prices tho had a certain attitude about her that reminds me of mint dentists that care about profit more than people. Very condescending said my teeth had fissures and I would need crows if didn’t get this 500$ month guard. Today it was more crowded than normal too so I feel like that VIP treatment I normally get (also that cozy neighborhood office feeling when people now you by the name and stuff) was gone and the whole appointment was just rushed. Please bring this practice back to the old ways when customer service was great and people didn’t look down on you for refusing a 500$ month piece they will probably forget to put on. On the way out they tried charging me for a service I didn’t get, which I had to clarify I didn’t get it and they took it out of my bill but also the vibe the whole time was just off! Never had this issue until recently. Thank you for the care provided and best luck to you all.

The dentist canceled my appointment after I arrived. Giving two stars because they called me 15 mins before, I was driving and left no voicemail. Super unprofessional. In terms of the quality of care, the assistant took numerous X-rays to get one correct scan in our first visit. Overall the team seemed inexperienced. It was fast and friendly. The doctor and staff were ok but the technician who did the flossing was told by another person who came in to take my X-rays that she wasn’t doing it the right way and the bacteria would still be on my gums. If she was being trained, someone should have been with her from the beginning to provide guidance not when she was almost done. I went there to get my teeth cleaned and I expected the best service and to be attended to by trained hands.

Very surprised and disappointed with their service, I have visited various dental hospitals earlier for my tooth x-ray every one used to charge around $50 max for x-ray without insurance but here they have charged $125 just for tooth x-ray even though i have submitted my cigna insurance which is way expensive Definitely unworthy!??
We are sorry to hear about your disappointment. However, we did not charge $125 just for an X-ray. We actually did a comprehensive exam, full mouth X-rays as well as intraoral pictures. Most insurances do cover these at 100%, however, the insurance that you chose does not. You also had a waiting period that applied which is why there was no coverage. The difference from your pocket was $70. That is a contract between you and your insurance. Dr. Brar also spent over 30 minutes going over your X-rays and explaining the pictures to you to ensure your comprehension of the exam she had completed. We suggest choosing a different insurance that has 100% coverage for the exam, X-rays and cleanings for a better experience.

Got two crowns done here, the Dr was efficient and very nice.I had some anxiety about the dentist since I hadn’t been in a while, but the staff here quickly helped that feeling dissolve, they had a tv in my room so I was nice and distracted during my procedure. Dr. Brar and her staff offer an amazing dental experience and I am so excited to have found them so close to home! After switching insurances, I decided to thoroughly research every candidate before deciding on a new dentist. I wanted a dentist office with up-to-date technology, a unique customer service experience, an online application option, and same day appointment scheduling. Dr. Brar checked all of those boxes. Within a few minutes of walking in, I was in the chair chatting it up with the dental assistant who treated me like we had known each other for years. I felt right at home. They took X-rays with the handheld gun and used an intra-oral camera to get a full look of my teeth and gums. Dr. Brar sat with me and showed me each and every one of my teeth in picture and X-ray form. She went over all the issues she was seeing, which aligned perfectly with what pain and sensitivity I was feeling. She then explained the process and procedure and was transparent and clear about what my insurance accepted. They went straight to work, no waiting period involved! Did I mention there was a TV with a reachable remote for me to play with at all times? Needless to say, never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be coming out of a dentist office with 6 completely redone fillings, no more sensitivity, and bragging to my family about my experience. I came back this week, 20 minutes early, to get a molding of my teeth to start an at home whitening procedure. It is great to know that even if I come in early, they run on time! They immediately sat me down all excited! They also prescribed me a very cheap anti-sensitivity toothpaste MI Paste to take care of any sensitivity concerns I have. I love them! So happy to have a new dentist that listens and cares about how I feel about my teeth. Thank you Dr. Brar and team! 100% recommend.

She recognized some previous dental work that I’d was silently concerned about and suggested better options. First, an extraction of a molar that had rotted (very difficult, most DDS’ I know would have panicked, and referred situation to a highly specialized oral surgeon). Beware of this place! I called to inquire about the cost of a bleaching tray they would charge, and I was told it is free for new patients. I went ahead and made an appointment for cleaning with them. I came in for cleaning and Dr. Brar came in after her assistant took x-rays of my teeth. Surprisingly the dentist told me I have two teeth decay. My last cleaning was 4 months ago, and I wasn't informed of any teeth decay from my previous dentist. She then had the receptionist go over a treatment plan with me before she even cleaned my teeth. The receptionist told me that Dr. Brar can do the filling on that same day, and in the treatment plan they wanted to sell me an "occlusal guard" which costs $682.00. I refused to have the fillings done, and I wasn't interested in the "occlusal guard." I didn't think I had two teeth decay in only 4 months. Also, they refused to do a free bleaching tray for me, and told me that they have to do the fillings first or I have to pay $199.00 for the bleaching tray. Another surprise was that they had no hygienist, and the dentist was the one that cleaned my teeth. When I inquired about cleaning my teeth using "prophy-jet", the dentist didn't understand what it is. While cleaning she was digging into my gum causing sores at several gum areas in my mouth. The sores lasted so long that I ended up having to see another dentist for treatment and for a second opinion regarding the decay. This dentist took new x-rays of my teeth and told me I have NO teeth decay!

We drive past many other dentists to see this one, but they are always on top of what our insurance covers, and they don't use pressure tactics to do cosmetic work. They are true dentists looking out for our health and what's best for us. So glad we found them.

I get a lot of dental work done (cursed by genetics) and Dr. Brar does a really good job. She gets me in and out fast and it's done right. The whole staff is willing work around my schedule and is always very polite and professional. I'm also often pleasantly surprised by the charges, but that is likely dependent on your insurance provider. Overall, a very good dentist that I would definitely recommend to a friend.

The only thing I can complain about is the cost because this dentist was more expensive than others.. but honestly you pay extra for the kind of quality you experience here. Excellent staff, all very friendly and the environment they convey is so warm. I have never had any dental work done other than cleanings and this was a bit scary for me. The dentist and her staff put me at ease, held my hand, and explained everything that was going on for me. The work was quick and expertly corrected. I am so glad to have happened upon this dentist, absolutely will suggest her to everyone.
